Thank you to all who joined the webinar. Here is the recording:
For the month of April, instead of our regular capacity development working group meeting, we are going to host a webinar as part of the series of webinars “CCCM in COVID-19" launched by the Global CCCM cluster.
I am really happy to invite you to join us on the 14th of April 2020, 2pm (CET) for the webinar: “Training remotely: sharing of tips and best practices for capacity building in remote management".
The COVID 19 pandemic has considerably reduced access to displacement sites for CCCM practitioners and humanitarian workers. In order to limit possible human to human transmission camp management teams worldwide are re-thinking their day to day activities. How can we adapt our capacity building, mentoring and coaching approaches? How can we strengthen CCCM operational capacity and ensuring continuation of life saving activities when access to displacement sites is not possible or is extremely limited?
We will try to answer these questions thanks to the contributions of our speakers, Emmanuelle Lacroix, Foundation Partnership Development Manager for DisasterReady.org; Mamdouh Tello, Portfolio Manager at POINT and Anas Mahmoud, CCCM Project Manager at POINT who will present their experience on how to continue develop capacities and strengthen knowledge of camp management field teams and affected communities when face to face access is limited. They have extensive experience in adapting training and capacity development formats in order to ensure continuing assistance and protection to displaced populations.
The webinar will be hosted on Webex, which you can access through this link: https://iom.webex.com/iom/onstage/g.php?MTID=e6998e28b19573474eafd0b3231e28637
Do you have specific questions you want to ask during the webinar? Do you want to share your experiences on remote capacity development? You can write to firstname.lastname@example.org: we will include your valuable experiences and ensure all your questions are addressed during the webinar.
Please feel free to circulate this invite to any of your field colleagues that could be interested. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach the working group chair at email@example.com.
We forward to seeing you at the Webinar!
All the best,
Elena on behalf of the Capacity Development Working Group
