In April 2023, 30,596 individuals were recorded in seven reception centres in Borno state, with women and children accounting for 88% of the total. Consistent with previous reports, the displaced population in reception centre has been decreased by 5% compared with last month.
In the seven reception centres across Bama, Dikwa, Gwoza, Monguno, and Ngala LGAs, 1,311 households (HHs) (3,269 individuals) of new arrivals were registered, representing a 45% decrease from the previous month. During this period, 1,422 individuals (Bama 120, Gwoza 8, Monguno 1,280 and Pulka 14) moved from the reception centers.
8,044 HHs have stayed for over three months against recommended 72 hours for referrals in Banki (254), Bama (414), Gwoza (288), Monguno (611), Ngala (1,602), Pulka (4,750) and Dikwa (125) reception centres.
There is an immediate need for CCCM, shelter, NFI, WASH, food, protection and health care services across the reception centres.
