27th May Opening session 10.00-11.00(NBO Time): Welcome, objectives, and agenda for the 2024 global CCCM meeting. During this session the global cluster reports back on achievements and updates from the past year as well as up-coming plans.
27th May 13.30 – 15.00(NBO Time): Climate and Environmental impact on Displacement preparedness and response
This plenary session will set the scene for climate impacts on preparing for and responding to displacement, what is being asked of the humanitarian sector in this shifting environment, and what we have to change to mitigate climate impacts on one of the world’s most vulnerable communities.
28th May 10.45 – 12.15(NBO Time): People Centered Approaches Plenary: "Wait, where are the Sites?"
This fireside chat will explore how to meet a response where the people are, what it is like for local partners getting to know CCCM sector, and the cost of not having CCCM from the start of a response.
29th May 14.00 – 16.00(NBO Time): Plenary: Solidifying CCCM's role with regards to facilitating Solutions & Closing Session
What are some of the many facets of Solutions and how can these be integrated into our work? This plenary session will highlight different perspectives and actions taken in the recent years regarding solutions and solidify our understanding of how CCCM can contribute as a key player.
