This module is the second part of the training sessions on community participation. Recent concerns around accountability, taken together with changes in technology and a rise in social media, mean that the concept of participation in camp management is broader than when the camp management sector began. This session touches upon dynamic ways of providing information by giving voice to different groups within displaced communities outlining steps to ensure that members of the camp community are heard. It also touches upon how organisations themselves can take the recommendations made by the population and adjust their own programming as a result.

It is thematically linked to:

  1. Providing information in camp settings (25 mins)
  2. Feedback mechanisms
  3. Provision of information in sites
  4. Dos and Don't on provision of information mechanisms
  5. Two-way communication
